I just put up our new faux tree….yes, it’s that time! I am a one-holiday-at-a-time girl, so THIS is the weekend we start our Christmas decorating. No judgement if you can’t wait and must start earlier…I get it.! I love Christmas too, but this is our usual MO.
As an affiliate, I was gifted this tree for review and offered a choice of several styles from King of Christmas, one of the premier purveyors of faux Christmas trees and greenery. Although I would generally opt for unlit because I have a poor track record with prelit trees, the options I was offered were all prelit.

I chose the Queen Flock slim 7.5’ tree with 650 warm LED lights from the options.
Flocked because I’ve always wanted to try a snow-flocked tree, slim because I have limited floor space, 7.5’ because I have standard 8’ ceilings, and warm LED as the least of the evils (in a perfect world, I prefer incandescent as the best imitation of candlelight).
This was offered to me over the summer and arrived in 2 days! It has been sitting in the box in my mudroom waiting for me to deem the decorating season underway and last night was the appointed time!
The space was cleared, the box was opened and I was immediately impressed. The box included a sturdy large tree storage bag, fluffing gloves, instructions, a remote control, and a tree stand, along with the 3 sections of the tree each packed in a reusable cushioned sleeve.
Setting it up took less than 3 minutes (not including fluffing) - the trunks plug into each other connecting the wires instantly, and the metal folding stand is very stable.
The flocking was surprisingly sturdy - it shed a little bit during fluffing as I manhandled the branches, but not really much at all. And I love how pretty it looks. I am more than happy to have this substitute for an actual winter wonderland.
The is the tree straight out of the box, pre-fluffing.
The plug at the base includes a foot button to turn it off ad on and change modes - the lights do various blinking programs - I was unaware it included this feature and don’t plan on using it, but I suppose some people might find it fun to play with 😏.
The warm LED color is pretty decent, certainly not any worse than the soft white LED lamp bulbs that have taken over for my beloved incandescents. Yes, I have a lot of attitude about light bulbs. I am also just realizing that on a flocked tree, the flocking is sprayed onto the lights as well, giving them a pleasant frosted appearance.
This is the tree after-fluffing:
For a slim line tree it is quite realistic and nicely shaped. I’m looking forward to seeing it all decorated!
King of Christmas has a huge variety of tree sizes in lit and unlit, flocked and various greenery styles. And they have a huge sale in progress right now with up to 65% off some items! There are numerous garlands and wreaths to choose from as well, allowing you to match the greenery to your tree if desired.
Overall, I’m quite pleased with my new tree - so far, even undecorated, it looks far nicer than any of the previous slim trees I’ve had over the years. There is definitely a difference between these trees and the less expensive ones from the big box stores that I’ve had previously.
Happy Decorating!
