About Us

Janet Lorusso, JRL Interiors Principal

Born in the South and reared in New England, Janet Lorusso is a unique combination of Southern gentility and New England practicality.  Her design aesthetic combines a love for the graceful, refined, and beautiful with a need for comfort, efficiency, and livability.

Janet honed her analytical and problem solving skills first as a research scientist, but after a few too many years of lab coats and fluorescent lights, she returned to school to pursue her passion for interior design. She is an expert listener with an unerring sense of color, scale, and style. With a sense of humor, a natural warmth, and a calm and gracious demeanor, she is a creative problem solver. Her experience and knowledge allow her to offer expert guidance to create the home you've always wanted!

Educated in Interior Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, Janet has been creating beautiful homes, offices, and education spaces for clients for over 25 years throughout New England and beyond. She has taught seminars and classes in interior design and has been a guest lecturer on the subjects of interior design, elegant entertaining, party design, and organizing your space.

Dana coordinates projects from measuring to presentation and ordering to installation. Dana’s attention to the smallest detail and proficiency with our drawing programs ensure that the design is communicated in the best possible manner to the client, fabricators, and installers.
