Nothing says summer like white!  White linen outfits, crisp white sheets, white sailboats, and white to lighten and brighten our interiors for the summer weather.  While I love the drama of black, white is the color of choice for sultry summer days.

Covering upholstered furniture with white slipcovers for summer has a long history dating back to the 17th century.  And nothing adds a dose of fresh and airy feel like white paint.  Crisp white woodwork, white furnishings, paired with woven woods and sisal all spell summer casual elegance.

Pair your summer whites with coastal blues for a beachy vibe or take a cue from the garden and pair them with green accents.

Daisy White Colors

These clean bright whites inspired by daisies, pair well with a leafy yellow-green.  Throw in some bright yellow accents for a dash of energy.

White bedding is an easy and obvious way to add a dose of summer white to any bedroom. The bed is, after all, one of the largest surfaces in the room! Queen Anne’s Lace White Colors

These cooler whites are paired with an aloe green.  The single purple flower at the center of the queen Anne’s lace blossom inspired a deep purple accent color for our paint palette. I think a white painted house with aloe green shutters and window boxes and a glossy, deep purple door could be striking!
