Spring Paint Colors Inspired by Nature
Spring is around the corner! Walking through my local arboretum this morning and reveling in the sunshine on this early (very early!) spring day, I was struck by this season of renewal. Nature is pushing forth with reminders everywhere of rebirth and fresh starts. My favorite “fairy forest” of huge leafed greenery (I have NO idea what they actually are) is starting to push shoots through the barren earth, and clusters of snowdrops and adonis flowers are already blooming, with crocuses and daffodils not far behind.
Nature is the BEST inspiration and today it has inspired a palette of spring greens with accents of blue, yellow, white, and earthy browns.
I’ve paired pictures from nature with Benjamin Moore paint colors to bring you 4 color palettes perfect for adding new life to your interiors.
Moss and Lichen Green
The taupe color of tree bark is a wonderful backdrop for a rich moss green and the blue-green lichen shades. Two contrasting shades of green make an interesting warm and cool mix and pair with pale and deep taupes.
Duckweed Green and Sky Blue
A pond harbors resilient bright green duckweed and reflections of brilliant blue sky and earthy bare tree trunks. A fresh yellow-green is balanced by shades of sky blue and a rich brown.
Bright yellow Adonis flowers
Clusters of sunny yellow adonis blooms are striking against lacy fern-like foliage. Shades of yellow and butterscotch mix with a muted green and a cocoa brown.
Snowdrop Flowers
Graceful white snowdrops dance among spears of green leaves. Two shades of fresh green pair with a cool blue-white and a warm coconut brown.
